SETDA Names Startups Selected
for 2024 Cohort of Emerging Partner
May 21, 2024 (Washington, D.C.) — SETDA announced its 11th annual cohort of Emerging Partners. These startups were selected through a competitive application process and will be introduced during SETDA’s annual Emerging Trends Forum in early June.
The 2024 SETDA Emerging Partners are:
SETDA’s Emerging Partners program provides opportunities for startups to be seen and heard by state and national digital learning leaders. All Emerging Partners benefit from engagement with SETDA’s state leaders, affiliates, and corporate members.
“We are honored to be named a SETDA Emerging Partner. We’re excited to engage with the SETDA team and events, and to connect with state and national leaders to showcase the power of innovative edtech to tackle K12 attraction, retention, and wellbeing,” remarked Fleur Johnston, PeopleBench CEO & Founder.
“The aftermath of the impacts of COVID-19 still resonates within the states, making decisions on the allocation and expenditure of funds ever more complex, especially on the heels of a new National Educational Technology Plan. SETDA recognizes the critical role that educational products and services play in helping address the long- and short-time issues facing the nation’s schools” said Stan Silverman, SETDA Partnerships Committee Chair and Senior Fellow for Emerging Technologies at New York Institute of Technology.
Emerging partners will pitch their companies to the SETDA community in SETDA Tank, a Shark Tank-style competition, on June 5. Throughout the year, the cohort will participate in SETDA-hosted events and activities and receive guidance on marketing, fundraising, and other relevant topics from education industry experts, including Academic Business Advisors, Arc Capital Development, CB&A, a FINN Partners Company, Advancing Global EDU, The National Center on Accessible Educational Materials (AEM), and Innovations4Education.
“Since 2020, impactful marketing has grown increasingly important for education companies, due to the influx of entrants into the space,” said Charlene Blohm, Senior Partner at CB&A, A FINN Partners Company. “For Emerging Partners to stand out and earn districts’ trust and dollars, a compelling brand positioning and strategic marketing program are essential. We’re grateful to be leveraging our three decades of marketing experience to help another cohort of Emerging Partners fulfill their mission and bolster their bottom line.”
