National Educational Technology Plan
We are excited that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded the National Educational Technology Plan (NETP) contract to the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) and our coalition partners. The NETP, which was first created in 1996, sets a vision and plan for K-12 learning enabled by technology across the United States, territories, tribal lands, and DoDEA schools around the world.
Since our founding in 2001 as a national nonprofit membership association representing state and territorial professionals working with and leading on edtech, we have been convening state, district and school leaders, educators, edtech providers and other stakeholders on important topics in education. We look forward to continuing this work in collaboration with our nonprofit partners – InnovateEDU, Learning Forward, and Project Tomorrow – to support the Office of Educational Technology (OET) in the U.S. Department of Education in creating the next NETP so that we can better leverage federal technology and connectivity investments to help schools create powerful and engaging learning opportunities for students and educators.
