Leadership Summit 2022 – Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend?

The Leadership Summit is an invite-only event open to current SETDA state and territory members, affiliates, corporate partners, channel partners, and invited guests. State and territory members have no limit on the number of attendees. Affiliates and partners are limited by their membership level or partnership type.

Emeritus members and strategic alliance partners are invited to the Ed Forum portion of the Leadership Summit on Tuesday, November 8 from 12:00 pm – 5:45 pm ET.

Is the Ed Forum and the Leadership Summit the same thing?

The Leadership Summit is the all encompassing member and partner event.

The Ed Forum is our annual event-within-an-event designed to foster dialogue and collaboration among and outside the SETDA community, invited guests include national experts, educational technology leaders, and thought partners in the K-12 education space. This focused event is unique and explores the full scope of digital transformation of policy and practice in K-12 education.

Ed Forum will take place on Tuesday, November 8 from 12:00 pm – 5:45 pm ET.

Where can I find the agenda?

You can find the conference schedule on Sched or on our conference website.

COVID Policy

What are the COVID protocols?

As always, the health and comfort of the SETDA community is our top priority. SETDA welcomes all attendees to our upcoming Leadership Summit and Ed Forum pursuant to local mandates.

Please review the following health and safety measures, including operational guidelines and requirements.

We will require attendees to provide proof of full vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID test (PCR or Antigen).

Full vaccination is considered two shots of Pfizer/Moderna vaccines or one single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine completed at least two weeks prior to the event.

Partial or unvaccinated attendees must provide a negative PCR or Antigen COVID test taken within the 72 hours prior to the event.

At this time masks remain optional; however, this policy may change depending on the level of COVID spread at the time of the event.

You are required to alert SETDA staff should you develop any COVID-related symptoms during or immediately after the conference. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. All attendees will be expected to take common actions to reduce the risk of COVID transmission and to behave responsibly (including leaving the event area) in case of exposure to a COVID case or experiencing symptoms.

You can review health and safety guidance here.

This is a professional event, so we recommend business or business casual attire.

For the Homecoming Reception on Sunday, we encourage attendees to wear their favorite tailgate state gear.

What should my expectations be for technology (read: do I need to bring a device)?

The SETDA community is a technology-forward organization so we hope to model that ethos. We have created a schedule that is responsive to all digital platforms and we have asked our facilitators to share their resources digitally using a best practice method. We will also provide wifi access in meeting spaces. With this in mind, you should bring a digital device to consume most of what the Leadership Summit has to offer.
