EdTech Startups Invited to Apply for SETDA’s
Emerging Partners Program

March 8, 2023 (Washington, DC) Applications are now open for edtech startups that wish to join the Emerging Partners program from SETDA, the principal non-profit membership association for educational technology and digital learning leaders of U.S. states and territories. This partnership program, tailored for companies new to the U.S. K-12 education and technology market, gets them in front of a network of state and national edtech leaders.

Companies selected to participate in the Emerging Partners Program will benefit from a variety of opportunities to showcase their products and services throughout the year-long relationship. The 2023 cohort will be introduced on a national stage at the SETDA Emerging Trends Forum (June 5–7, 2023). They will receive professional development from SETDA’s Channel Partners  including business-plan feedback, sales and marketing advice, and strategic consulting. Throughout the year, Emerging Partners will be invited to engage with state educational technology and industry leaders.

“SETDA’s Emerging Partners program has been invaluable to my success as an edtech entrepreneur,” said Jena Draper, founder of CatchOn [now Digital Insight] and part of the Emerging Partners cohort of 2017. “This program introduced me to my first strategic partner and acquirer, and provided the guidance and mentorship that has allowed me to navigate the edtech market at every level. I refer to SETDA as a family, and it’s a family that every entrepreneur dreaming to make a positive impact in K-12 education would be lucky to join.”

Members of SETDA’s 2022 Emerging Partners cohort were ClassHook, Pearl, School Day, Sound Town, and SurfWisely.

To apply for the 2023 Emerging Partners program, companies must submit an application form. The application window is open through April 15, 20023.
