SETDA Honors Mia Gregerson with the 2025 State Policymaker of the Year Award

December 4, 2025 (Washington, DC) – SETDA, the principal membership association of U.S. state and territorial educational technology leaders, announced Representative Mia Gregerson of the Washington House of Representatives as the 2025 recipient of the State Leader of the Year (SLY) Award.

The award was presented during SETDA’s 2025 Leadership Summit in Arlington, VA, recognizing Gregerson’s leadership in advancing cybersecurity, digital literacy, and equitable broadband access. Her work has expanded reliable internet, device access, and digital literacy skills training across Washington, ensuring that students, veterans, incarcerated individuals, and marginalized communities have the tools they need to participate fully and thrive in a modern, connected world.

Representative Gregerson reflected on the honor, stating: “I’m honored to be recognized by SETDA as State Policymaker of the Year. This award reflects our shared commitment to ensuring every student has equitable access to the skills, tools, and opportunities they need to thrive in a digital age.”
