“At a time of rapid changes in the educational landscape within our states, SETDA recognizes the critical role educational products and services play in meeting the challenges. Working with our partners and thought leaders, SETDA develops systems that enable our partners to understand the evolving needs within our states and to understand the complexities of funding, purchasing, and evaluating products within the context of local, state, and federal agencies,” said Stan Silverman, SETDA Partnerships Committee Chair and Senior Fellow for Emerging Technologies New York Institute of Technology. ”

Emerging partners will pitch their companies to the SETDA community in SETDA Tank, a Shark Tank-style competition, on June 6, during the Emerging Trends Forum. Throughout the year, the cohort will participate in SETDA events and activities and receive guidance on marketing, fundraising, and other relevant topics from education industry experts, including Academic Business Advisors, Arc Capital Development, C. Blohm & Associates (CB&A), Advancing Global EDU, The National Center on Accessible Educational Materials (AEM), and Innovations4Education.

“Our goals are to help Emerging Partners understand the role of marketing in education today and develop a plan to build awareness, generate leads, and drive sales,” said Charlene Blohm, President at CB&A. “SETDA’s Emerging Partners program attracts some of the most innovative startups in edtech, and we look forward to leveraging our three decades of marketing experience to help accelerate the growth of these companies.”
