“SETDA is proud to celebrate school and student successes,” stated Dr. Tracy Weeks, Executive Director, SETDA. “We look forward to Northfield’s participation at the Leadership Summit and to hear directly from the students how project-based, digital learning experiences have positively impacted their education.”
“We are honored to represent New Jersey in October and look forward to sharing our experience with districts across the country,” shared Glenn Robbins, Northfield Community Middle School Principal. “We created a culture and climate at NCMS that provides all students with a voice, in hopes to disrupt the traditional silos in schools. When students are provided with the opportunity to have a voice, feel respected, and work along side their teachers, it creates a learning environment unlike any other,” Robbins continued.
“Congratulations to the Northfield Community Middle School for winning the Elsie Brumback Scholarship by developing an innovative, student-centered learning environment that will help prepare students for high school, college and careers,” said New Jersey Department of Education Assistant Commissioner and Chief Academic Officer Kimberley Harrington.
