SETDA Announces Ji Soo Song
as Director of Projects and Initiatives

April 30, 2024 (Washington, DC) – Ji Soo Song has been named Director of Projects and Initiatives for SETDA, the principal non-profit membership association representing U.S. state and territorial educational technology and digital learning leaders. SETDA provides well-established forums for advocacy for policy and practice, professional learning, inter-state collaboration, and public-private partnerships centered on digital learning and equity.

Ji Soo brings a wealth of experience to SETDA, having served as a digital equity advisor and Federation of American Scientists Impact Fellow in the U.S. Department of Education. In this role, he led the Office of Educational Technology’s efforts to bridge the digital access divide, including the publication of federal policy guidance on broadband adoption and the development and implementation of the 2024 National Educational Technology Plan.

Prior to his federal service, Ji Soo was the senior policy advisor at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), where he played a key role in the research, analysis, and communication of public policy issues related to digital learning standards, educator credentialing, and professional development funding.

Ji Soo holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.Ed. in education policy and leadership from American University.

Ji Soo will join the SETDA team on June 10, 2024.
