Description: In an effort to promote design thinking, engineering, and digital learning in K-5 classrooms, Moore County School District offers site visits for district level, school level, and college level leadership teams. During a site visit, leadership teams observe at least two engineering lessons and participate in reflection and action discussion protocols with the classroom teachers, administration, and Digital Integration Specialist at that school. In addition to the site visits, a conference, "Building Engineers In K-5 Classrooms", is held each year that features hands-on sessions that demonstrate design thinking and digital learning lessons. Both of these opportunities are made possible by a grant from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and the Digital Learning Initiative.
