Description: A Network Improvement Committee is an "intentionally designed social organization" that focuses deeply on a particular problem, the system that produced that problem, and its network of participants related to the problem. Vermont has three ongoing NICs with a focus on: Instructional Coaching, Work Based Learning, and Personalized Learning Plans. Regional meetings facilitation by "thought partners" to guide work that has been articulated by the participants in the NIC. For example, the Instructional Coaching NIC has a focus on evaluation of impact. Delivery includes on-site, regional meetings, common virtual workspace, and shared product development.
