SETDA Praises Senate Legislation to Update the Enhancing Education through Technology Program
Washington, DC (February 11, 2015) – SETDA (State Educational Technology Directors Association) Interim Executive Director Lan Neugent today issued the following statement following Senator Tammy Baldwin’s (D-WI) introduction of the Enhancing Education through Technology Act:
“A new EETT is needed to provide states the opportunity to build capacity to improve and transform instruction, promote digital equity for the nation’s students, and offer support for critically needed professional learning opportunities for the teachers and school leaders who are supporting the digital transition.”
“SETDA strongly supports Senator Baldwin’s commitment to updating the EETT for a new generation of students, and we encourage the HELP Committee to ensure the bill is integrated into the next Elementary and Secondary Education Act.”
