SETDA provides monthly professional learning activities
Organization focused webinars
The centerpiece of SETDA’s member professional learning is our interactive webinar series. Each month SETDA hosts a professional learning webinar providing members with updates, presentations and state examples as related to current trends in technology in education. The webinars include featured speakers, updates from state leaders and general membership updates. In addition, we host an annual book talk as part of this series. Featured speakers include executives from national education organizations, exemplary district technology leaders and representatives from the U.S. Department of Education, the FCC and other agencies and organizations. Recent topics have included emerging technologies, online assessment, digital and open content and interoperability. Attendees include SETDA state members and our Private Sector Partners.
Brown Bag Discussions
The Brown Bag discussion series is a professional learning and networking opportunity for our state members and Platinum Private Sector Partners to engage in meaningful dialogue regarding topics of interest. This sessions are an open forum to allow for questions and discussion and do not include presenters. These sessions give states an opportunity to allow participants to share information and ask each other questions based on specific topics. Recent topics include: gaming, open education resources, STEM and state leadership.
