  • Solution Sessions (These sessions will provide the opportunity for state leaders to engage in dialogue regarding areas of mutual interest. States with multiple attendees are encouraged to connect with their state colleagues so that individuals from the same state attend different session.     • 10:45 – 12:00 pm: Leading for Change – Field Room
      • Creating a vision for change is just the beginning in making your vision a reality.  During this hands-on session we will examine leadership strategies with a focus on organizational change management and building a culture for innovation. Participants will also have the opportunity to hear specific stories of change and draw parallels to their own context, leaving with ideas that can be used immediately.
    • 10:45 am – 2:30 pm with working lunch: State Education Interoperability Leadership: Leveraging Data for Academic Excellence – Burnham Room
      • In SETDA’s recent report, State Leadership for Interoperability: Leveraging Data for Academic Excellence, we looked beyond the data and technology standards to examine how data can be used to support teaching and learning opportunities. This working group will dig deeper into the importance of instructional leadership in state and district efforts around interoperability. We will discuss use cases around personalized learning, quality digital content, learning object repositories, and assessment.
    • 10:45 am – 2:30 pm with working lunch: Cyber Security Workshop – McCormick Ballroom
      • The rapid influx of new technologies has introduced a wave of cybersecurity threats that can wreak havoc on unprepared education communities. This 3-hr collaborative cybersecurity workshop, led by SETDA and ENA will address education cybersecurity challenges, needs, and future-planning strategies. In this interactive session, you’ll hear from cybersecurity experts, learn what other leaders are implementing, and gain cybercrime prevention best practices you can put into action.
