Data Quality Campaign - Using Data to Improve Student Achievement

SETDA is a Managing Partner of The Data Quality Campaign (DQC) which is a national, collaborative effort to encourage and support state policymakers to improve the collection, availability, and use of high-quality education data, and implement state longitudinal data systems to improve student achievement.
 
CCSSO’s State Education Data Center launched SchoolDataDirect which includes a tool enabling users to download data directly from the website. Much of what is contained in the Coordinated Data Ask is available on this website and ready to download. For more information visit the SchoolDataDirect site www.SchoolDataDirect.org.

SETDA Releases the Class of 2020: Action Plan for Education:  "Every Student Deserves a High-Quality 21st Century Education"  SETDA Provides Tangible Recommendations to Improve Teaching and Learning Using Technology.

SETDA released the final report in  the Class of 2020: Action Plan for Education Series "Learning Virtually:  Expanding Opportunities"  Identifies Virtual Learning as Key Component of 21st Century School Reform.

SETDA released the fourth  paper of the Class 2020: Action Plan for Education Series " Empowering Teachers: A Professional and Collaborative Approach" Calls for the use of technology to support on-going and relevant professional development through education portals, learning communities and coaching.

SETDA released the third paper of the Class 2020: Action Plan for Education Series "Technology-Based Assessments Improve Teaching and Learning" Calls for Proactive Use of Data to Drive School Reform Efforts.

Technology helps shatter limits of disability

A web site with information on learning disabilities, a national research center for studying advanced technologies, and a web site for those who are dealing with traumatic brain injuries: These were some of the new initiatives highlighted at the National Center for Technology Innovation's 2008 Technology Innovators Conference, which explored ways that assistive technology (AT) can help persons with disabilities not only learn and function, but also achieve their dreams.
