On October 3, 2006,
SETDA presented its first
"Education Forum: What it Takes to Compete" in conjunction with the Leadership Summit in Washington, DC. Along with their supporting partners, the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), the Association of Supervision & Curriculum Development (ASCD), the Partnership for 21st Century Skills, and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), SETDA hosted 300 education stakeholders and policy-makers for interactive and engaging presentations and discussions on education’s role in America’s competitiveness.
