Collaborative Opportunities

SETDA is working nationally and with state and districts to help leaders use this short-term funding to make long-term changes to address teacher quality and increased student achievement in all Title I schools through collaborative planning, investment in core components for a modern learning environment, intensive professional development – training teachers not only how to use technology but also how to integrate technology into the curriculum and become experts in their field of study, and system wide communications, digital content and IT Technical support.  Focusing on these kinds of projects with ARRA funding has a proven return on investment both in hard costs of dollars saved through efficiencies but also by way of increased student engagement and achievement, increased teacher quality, efficacy, and retention and a closing of the achievement gap.
