SETDA is proud to honor SETDA members and policy makers in two sponsored award programs:
SETDA established the SLY Award to recognize an active SETDA member, who meets the selection criteria, who has exhibited outstanding leadership in (1) integrating technology effectively in his/her state to improve student learning, (2) collaborating with peers through SETDA initiatives thereby affecting positive change for the organization and its members, and (3) engaging within the broad education and education technology communities to ensure the effective integration of technology in learning to improve student achievement.
The Policy Maker Award honors "Champions for the Cause" of Education Technology who rally support at the federal and state level. State Level Policy Makers may include any state legislators, state superintendents, state or US territory governors, and state board of education or state department of education representative. Nominees must demonstrate leadership in support of educational technology.
