March 5, 2010 The U.S. Department of Education released a draft of the National Educational Technology Plan, “Transforming American Education: Learning Powered by Technology.” The report development was directed by Barbara Means of SRI International with support from leading researchers and practitioners, including SETDA members. A special thanks goes to Brenda Williams of the West Virginia Department of Education for her service on the effort’s Technical Working Group. The SETDA staff will be closely reviewing the report and we will take a leadership role in preparing a state-based response.
