Florida:

The Florida Online Reading Professional Development program (FOR-PD) provides an online staff development course designed to serve as a primary delivery mechanism for improving teaching methods in preK-12 reading instruction. It was developed by the University of Central Florida with funding from the Florida Department of Education.

Louisiana:

The Louisiana Department of Education provides professional development projects through the Louisiana Center for Educational Technology (LCET).

UDL is an online or residential institute that highlights Universal Design for Learning, an approach to teaching diverse learners through flexible applications of digital content.

The Effective Instructional Technology (EIT) series of online courses provides twelve weeks of intense professional development designed to assist teachers in meeting all of the ISTE NETS for students and teachers.

The Louisiana Teacher Assistance and Assessment Program (LATAAP) is a uniform statewide program for new teachers entering service for the first time in the Louisiana public school system. With this program, a two year mentoring program matches new teachers with mentors who provide leadership and support, often via online support provided by the Blackboard platform.

Louisiana FIRST, the Framework for Inducting, Retaining, and Supporting Teachers, is a program designed to support Louisiana school districts with resources to meet the needs of Louisiana’s new teachers.

The Louisiana Principal Induction Program (LPI) is a program for first- and second-year principals and first-year assistant principals. It nurtures leadership skills and leads participants in the study of research, best practices, and the relationship between leadership and learning; much of the work is done via Blackboard.

LEADtech, is an intense technology-rich, leadership-driven professional development program for Louisiana administrators. Individuals participate in more than seventy-five of instruction include face-to-face seminars, Web-based courses, and hands-on training.

Wisconsin:

The Wisconsin Curriculum Resource Center gives school administrators and teachers high-quality lesson plans, classroom activities, instructional television programs, and more, all provided by leading professional education organizations, and aligned to Wisconsin's model academic standards.

Wisconsin Successful School Guide (WINSS) provides guides for Standards and Assessment, Data Analysis, Continuous School Improvement and Best Practices to teachers and administrators.

The Milwaukee Public School District has established a strategic initiative, the Professional Support Portal, designed to use technology to support teacher induction, retention, and continued professional growth at all stages of the teaching career continuum.
