Welcome to National Leadership Institute's 2005 ToolkitEducational technology and virtual learning are critical components of education. Educational technology initiatives support every tenet of the No Child Left Behind Act including:
As state technology leaders, members of the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) are continually engaged in the development of strategies and tools that will assist educators and administrators in effectively implementing and integrating technology into classrooms, curricula and learning. During the 2004 National Leadership Institute (NLI), SETDA leaders focused on the topic of virtual learning. They examined, discussed and developed tools that are designed to help education leaders effectively use virtual learning to increase opportunities through technology that will help students learn and teachers teach. We are pleased to include the outcomes of the six work groups in the 2005 SETDA National Leadership Institute Toolkit on Virtual Learning. While the Toolkit was developed for use by state leaders, SETDA does encourage sharing the tools broadly so that all educators and administrators can utilize the Toolkit to assist them in improving and enhancing education through virtual learning. SETDA expresses its sincere appreciation to all of the education leaders who participated in the NLI and the development of these critical tools. |
