Readings
This list was created to serve as a reference guide for those interested in reading more about the process of building partnerships. While some of the references focus on the steps to building successful relationships, others offer in-depth case studies of hundreds of partnership efforts that have been made nationwide. Reading further about the processes involved in establishing partnerships will serve to better inform states and will provide rich background information that will further paint a picture of what successful partnerships "look" like.
The reading list has been broken down into two major sections: Web resources and books. Web resources have been separated even further into groups corresponding to two of the types of partnerships that the P & R Work Group initially defined: partnerships with corporations and foundations and partnerships within state departments and state agencies. The various resources offer strategies and guidelines for building partnerships and leveraging resources, as well as numerous case studies.
