IRISH teenagers perform better in computer-based reading tests rather than those involving the printed word

According to an article in the Irish press, Irish teenagers in that nation performed better in computer-based reading tests rather than those involving the printed word. ERC director Dr Peter Archer said: “It may have to do with the fact that some students found the digital context more familiar and more interesting than the printed test.” It also may have to do with the accomodations embedded in the testing system.
